VEI had called me and I went through the webcast and was told that my vacation village-parkway was would get 11,000 in equity so I would owe 4,245! Then a man named "Ivan" got on the phone and dropped it to 2975 so i paid them and now 4months later property still hasnt transfered and there member site is boguss and will not work, so i got some friends that create websites and found out the member site is just travelocity and expedia combined!!!!!! Scam scam the AG has been notified about my case.....no need in trying to call them to reconcile because i have for months with no help. My red flag in retrospect was they refused to let me view the site prior to putting my credit card down, well they gave some convincing excuses as to why non-members cant view it. Beware of this SCAM!!!!!!!
How long did the transfer take to clear? Did you pay for their membership? What info did you receive from them? Was vp title the company that did the transfer? I have been called by them (VEI) and this sounds like a great way to get rid of my timeshare.
Mercy, Mercy, My how we all create our own problems. The Red Flags are there folks. Think!
That's weird? I am a member and all I have to do is go to the member site vacationvision.com and I can book. The Club is a wholesale discount travel club correct? I have price shopped and the reps at Vacation Experts International even did a price comparison to Orbitz and Travelocity and it showed a clear 10-15% savings on most hotels. I just booked a timeshare condo for my parents in Myrtle Beach for a week for $299. If you truly do have an issue, then just call them? I just called Customer Service: 855-724-2329 (Number on website and my member docs) and spoke with a young lady who confirmed my membership information as well.
Yes, VP Title handled the transfer and title work. They are with the BBB and checked out. Escrow was also handled by them. Transfer timeframe took a little over 30 days from the time I executed the deed and returned to them. Logest wait time was getting the damn resort to process the transfer internally. Long and short of it, I no longer have the timeshare in my name and have a membership that I only pay if and when I use it. NO MORE MAINTENANCE FEES!
Posters report having to pay $money up front -- this is a very good deal for SCAMMERS and a very bad deal for timeshare owners. Owners should NOT pay money up front until the day is done. Paying up front is a good way to get SCAMMED.
Yup, the same kind of folks who believe the gushing positive BS comments on this site are the very same victims these upfront fee scammers are looking to rip off. That's why they send paid shills, after all, and this page is lousy with them.
