I received the very same threats and they even called and had someone pretty authentic talking with a thick accent!

I received a threat as well from this number. They claim to be the cartel. they had my address, family's names and mine, they were also asking for money along with pictures of decapitated bodies, saying they want money or else they were coming to hurt me and my family

Called me about the same time yesterday. Does not leave a message with call back number or brief message as to purpose as a normal person would.
Most likely a scam. Didn't recognize caller ID so did not answer and it (robocaller?) left no message. Nuff said.
