May 26, 2009, 2:11 PM.I don't have caller ID but I dialed *69 after the call to get the number from the phone company.This seemed like a legitimate call from a citizen's political action group called Louisiana Citizens for Lawsuit Reform, a non-profit according to the caller (female). They asked for my support for several bills in the Louisiana legislature to help make it easier for citizens to get justice in cases of exposure to toxic chemicals: HB220, HB225, and HB235.They connected me to a state representative's office where I left a message. They did not ask me for a contribution or for confidential information, only to confirm my name and address, which is public anyway. I think this was a legit call, not a scam, but they seem to be using a generic phone number. The group may have contracted their calls to a calling service that uses that generic number.

Keeps calling. No one there if I do answer

I got four phone callls form this numbe (111) 111-1111. When I calll back it says that the cal did not go through! HUH? then how did it get through to my phone line? Don't understand how can tey keep calling a number that I cannot get through!. I blocked it.

Got one yesteray. She just said it was an opinion poll. just started right in with a question before I could say OK Or NO.I broke in, said I don't want to do this and she was very polite, said Thank You and hung up. I sure hope I don't keep hearing from them!!

Today around 5:00 PM we got a call from a person who told my wife that "this is the United States government", etc. I later checked the number today using *69 and found out that it is all 1's: (111)111-1111. This is weird. Before this happened today, someone called here using a number with all 0;s: (000)000-0000. This is annoying and I hope that it stops. If it keeps up, I will report it to our phone service provider.

Me too! 6:35am. I don't have Comcast, and I am current on my bill as I read this blog.... I'm perplexed!

i got a call from this number and it was a deep raspy voice that said i was going to be gang banged in 1 day and the rapers were going to steal my credit card and charge me for thier "services" even though i dont want their "services"

just by looking at this number is BOGUS/SCAM.

I have been getting calls from 111 111 1111 & 000 000 0000. I think it is an enemy of the U.S.A. trying to get us to shut off phone service and become isolated and further drive the economy south. This, in my opinion would be a mistake. It is however important to know who owns these phone numbers and understand what their agenda is. (Getting these calls every 1.5 to 2.5 hours except after 9 p.m. & before 11 a.m. for 2 weeks.

This number appeared on my Called Id; I answered call but immediately hung up.
