I got a call from this number, I asked the caller her name, she said it was Ivy Miller and she was calling from the Verification Department of the U.S. Federal Grant, and I was approved for a $8750 grant. I asked her why I didn't recieve anything in the mail regarding this grant. Ivy did not give an answer. I then asked her for a call back number, she said she doesn't have one but she can give me the number for the accounting department (202-455-5280), because they are going to issue the money. I then asked her why didn't the accounting department contact me since they are issuing the check, she said she's doing the verification. She said I can only recieve the money through money gram, western union or my savings or checking account. I asked her why they can't just send the check in the mail, that's the best option. Ivy immediately ended the call. Please be aware of these scammers, if something sounds to good to be true, please listen to your inner voice because it just might be.
Called cell phone. We DO NOT answer any unsolicited call. They did leave a voicemail with correct information for upcoming Celebrity cruise; but what an odd caller number. Recorded message was advising of boarding times. No response was requested and we will board the ship at our convenience.
I don't like asking this I don't like this company asking me questions about they harass me again I'm reporting him to the cops
They called my phone today, tried calling it back and said it was an international number. Not sure what's going on but it seems to me that at least 3 different so called companies are using the same number! More than likely they spoofed the number! And the cruise line calling to confirm, darling they would use either an 800,877,or 844 number someone using all 1's as their number is spoofing their real one so they won't get calls back! Its a smart move and anyone can spoof their number! You can go to the app store and download an app that can spoof your number! Its quite easy to do and now more debt collectors and all are doing this!
SCAMMER. It changes every time for me. Either an Arab accent or central America dialect. DONT GIVE YOUR INFO to them! The scam changes to fit what you tell them about yourself, so they can target you. I claimed I was a certain age at first so they offered a "free" cruise if I sent money. Then I claimed I was a minor and they backtrack saying they have info about colleges to send, if I pay first. Do yourself a favor! Threaten to call Immigration on them and hang up!
I'm on no call listThey asked for Yolanda Gonzales plus she's been giving out my phone # to EVERYBODY
