This number called me and told me that he was calling from windows and that they got data to show that my computer is going to crash.. and that I needed to get in front of it so that he can walk me thru the details... I hung up the phone.. He sounded like he was from India.. he had broken English.
I got this call recently and just told him I already had an I.T. tech who helps me maintain my computer. Had to repeat that several times before he hung up. I called my friend Mike who has his own I.T. business and maintains my computer. He said it is a scam, and a good answer would be "I thought Windows 8 was supposed to take care of that problem, that's why I got a new computer." If the caller says it doesn't, then he obviously doesn't have access to my computer and doesn't know what's on it. I don't have a new computer and don't have Windows 8 ! Just to be sure, I downloaded the latest version of my virus protection software from my Internet service provider's website - it comes free along with my Internet service.
I got a call from this number, he said he was from windows, I told him that he lied. I know he was lying because my caller id shows his number as 123-456-7899. He said that it was his internet phone. I told him that he lied again, he cussed at me so I cussed back then demanded to talk to his supervisor as he said he was at work.I *57 the number and it said it traced the call. Hope he calls back as I want to trace it 2 more times so the cops will call on them.

My calls were being forwarded to this number and I have no idea how it happened.
They hung up. In the last ten days I've had unauthorized credit card charges and an identity theft related to a Medicare fraud case. I suspect this is related.

Medicredit I believe possibly is scam/fraud calls involving medical insurance, medicare. Courts WILL decide !!
