Had 7 calls today. You are right. Microsoft Windows. After a heated argument with her, I finally said I have an Apple computer. Next I hear dial tone. She hung up on me. Hopefully that is the end.
l received 3 calls from this number as well..heavily accented,..not sure of nationality..saying he was calling from Windows...l thanked him and hung up...def part of a scam
156-985-2471 calls several times per day;my phone has separate ringtones for local & long-distance calls, & these calls ring as long-distance;i answered today, & "frank" told me he was from "windows" & i had a virus on my computer;i told him i work in i.t. for the r.c.m.p. & to stop calling;he immediately hung up...
They have called 3 times today.First time I answered "Joes Burger Shack" and they hung up. Second time I answered "Smith Funeral Home, we specialize in cremation" and they hung up. Third call I answered "State Police, please state your name and emergency" that was the fastest hang up ever.
I answered this call. A fellow with a heavy Indian accent came on the phone and said my Windows computer has a virus. I asked where he was calling from. His answer was "Seattle". I said, you're lying. He said, "Why do you say that?" I said, because I don't have a Windows computer. He hung up.

Robo-dialer caller. DO NOT GIVE OUT ANY INFORMATION. DO NOT ANSWER or your phone number will be called again and again. They use several different caller-id numbers similar to 636-235-xxxx. NEVER USE THE WORD "Yes" when a robo-dialer calls you.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.
