Received a call from this number claiming my student loan had been flagged.It was a robo call. I have never had a student loan!Scam
Caller ID blank? It goes to voicemail until I can look it up. No messages, of course. When our good politicians set up the rules for the "Do not call" laws, they accidentally excluded themselves from the list.
This scammer still calls mobile (cell phone) numbers in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. Their recording states that the victim has had their student loans (this victim doesn't have any student loans, and the mobile number in question has never been affiliated with a student loan) flagged for debt forgiveness by President Obama. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer any personal or financial information.
This scammer also calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further violate the TCPA by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line. When you do get to an operator, they still further violate the TCPA by hanging up when asked for a phone number and physical address - information that is not only required by law, but that any legitimate business would gladly provide for anyone they wanted to do business with. Their recording states that the victim has had their student loans (this victim doesn't have any student loans, and the phone number in question has never been affiliated with a student loan) flagged for debt forgiveness by President Obama. This is clearly a scam. Do not provide this scammer any personal or financial information.
I am talking on phone this number is calling me every 2 minutes according to my caller log that shows on my tv.

Claim to be discover card. I don't have that disreputable card and haven't had one for 20 years, so they have no reason to call me. Very suspicious.
