They called my home and left a message an hour ago saying that I owe tax. I called them and said that I do pay the tax on regular basis. They asked me if I would be willing to pay the tax right now or would let you deal with the court. I said that I need details on why I owe tax. They asked me to call tomorrow between 10Am and 7PM.
My wife received this call from a guy named Steve Watson, Department of Homeland Security saying there is some legal complaint! I am presuming this is a fraud call!
Fraud caller claiming to be from IRS, threatening legal action. Caller had foreign (seemed Slavic or perhaps Indian) accent.
Someone called from this number and talkign about the IRS tax and want me to pay by Walmart.
Message left that they were calling about a complaint against me from Dept of Homeland Security and that I needed to turn in myself immediately.
Message left to our voice mail that my wife is involved federal fraud x 3. He could not pronouce Z ( pronounced like J ) with typical Indian accent. Bunch of crap. on the ID, it shows IRS number though.
got a call from 1-800-829-1040 on my called id ( this number is for IRS , I checked on google), a person with heavy accent left a message for me to call 202-800-9953 saying that I have a federal complaint against me. It's a scam as you can see above posts. Not sure how are they calling with IRS called ID.
A person with heavy Indian accent called and left a message that there are 3 criminal investigations against me and my husband. Caller asked me to call 202-800-9953 immediately, but the caller id showed 800-829-1040 witch is IRS number. I am not sure how the guy was able to leave a message with IRS number. this is a fraud, IRS will not put this kind of calls if they have an issue they will use US mails. I have no problem with my tax reports and that is why I am 100% sure it is a fraud.

Have gotten almost a dozen calls from this number in the last two days. Hispanic speaker, when they speak. Men, women, even children in the background on one call. Finally, blocked the number.
