Didn't answer - no message left

Don't answer or call back. I called back got a very thick accent male, asked me for my name right after answering i said you called me i'm not giving you any information, he put me on hold and came back on the line WITH MY NAME!!!! I asked for proof for owing anything, i asked for dates of correspondance to me,told him there was not way the us federal government would call and threaten this way, He put me on hold and low and behold we got disconnected.. ASSS's Isn't there somewhere to report this number to the IRS.

I just registered a complaint with TIGTA and will do the same on FTC.gov in a minute..:) if you go there, put "IRS Telephone Scam" in the notes. I wish these folks would get a real job instead of being parasites.

the same thing happen to me today, damn stupid people! I was shocked, so my husband called them back and surprise! they hanged up on him.

They called talking about having tax fraud and if I didn't call back I will get arrested. Total Scam!

I received a call from this number claiming that my taxes were audited and I owe $5320 from the years 2012 & 2013. They claimed to be calling from the US Treasury Dept and that they placed a warrant for my arrest. I would be in jail for 6 months and I would not be available to make bail. Both individuals I spoke to were foreigners and avoided many of my questions.

This person said I was getting arrested and they called me a [***]. It was an Indian accentI ts

same exact call 45 min jail $5000 to be paid of 2012 filing fraud,really,,,,get a job then a life

Scam: "Commit tax fraud, avoid being arrested for federal court, call 202-899-9063."

Told me I owed $2500 from tax fraud in 2012, when I asked for this is writing he said I already got it and never picked it up. When I asked to speak with a supervisor he asked how much money I had and I told him $100, he said I can't talk to a 3rd party to borrow money as its a legal issue and confidential but I needed to come up with atleast half of the $2500 and pay it now. I told him I couldn't and again asked for a supervisor and I got hung up on.
