ID showed as Federal Bureau of Investigation and in below said scam. Voice mail was like if someone tapping with pen on table. Got an other call so i decide to answer. The machine voice said its google security and someone attempting to change my phone # and if its not me press 1. i hung up called back and I found out the phone belongs to FBI... The operator said don't answer any calls that comes from this phone #...

It said “Public Service” on caller ID, but did not leave a voicemail.

Said it was YS government

USPS called me and said I had sent an illegal package to Canada and was being held in customs and that the FBI had a case pending and would call me, the guy gave me a case number and the persons name that the package was being sent to. A few minutes later I received a call from the Us Government (exact spelling), the man said he was an FBI agent and that they had a package containing 5 fraudulent credit cards that i am trying to send to William Garneau in Toronto. He said that I had to come into the FBI office in New York in person to file a claim, if I could not do that I had to file the claim over the phone. I told him I would never give my info over the phone and hung up.

I did not pick up the phone, "FBI" called twice and did not leave a message. Area code is from New York. Be aware of this number.

Caller says she is with FBI

Me llamaron de aquel numero diciendo que tengo una demanda por prostitucion, me intimidaron e incluso me dijeron las multas contra mi, lo que me hizo saber que era una extorsion es que el tipo hablaba mucho y no sabia mi apellido, me han llamado varias veces, no se asusten es obvio una estafa si alguien puede grabar la estafa por favor campartala.

Me están llamando de este número acusándole de aver llamado para pedir servicios de prostitución y que según le estaba llamando a una disque menor de edad y me piden pagar una multa y sino me meten a la cárcel, pero nosé si es el número es realmente del fbi ya lo busque y supuestamente si es de la oficna de new York pero se me hace muy extraño nose que hacer ayúdenme

Yo también lo creo amigo pero me incomoda que ese número si es del fbi, cómo estás seguro de que no tiene que ver nexos con el fbi?para estar más tranquilo yo

People, be aware that caller ID can be spoofed--the number that shows on your phone isn't necessarily the actual number that's calling you. Very few people will actually be called by the New York office of the FBI. If whoever calls you using that number demands money, or demands, under threat of arresting you, that you call a law firm to ask them why the FBI is calling you, then the call is a scam. Hang up, report it to both your local police and to the New York City Police (I don't have their number), block the FBI number, and leave it at that.
