Just got the same call. Had my daughter freaked out. Got a call from what sounded like the same person but claiming they were filing a lawsuit. Told her it was a SCAM and to relax.
Message left saying officer Betic and we owed money to IRS and warrant for arrest would be issued. Scam
Do not call back to this 216-512-1495 number! It is a scam of fake IRS# try to get $$$ out of people! The person with strong accent claim she is an officer!
Called and identfied herself (non-native English speaker) as an IRS tax fraud investgator and said my husband was accused of fraud. I told her I prepare the taxes and asked what the problem was. She repeated that my husband was accused of fraud. When I said that was ridiculous, she became abusive and said that the local sheriff would be notified and hung up on me.
Got a call asking for my husband. Asked who was calling, said regarding tax fraud. I asked him to send me a certified letter and was told they have attempted twice to send a 35 page document. My husband took the phone and told him to come to our house-he has a document for him. They hung up!
Same message as everyone else detailed. Got scared, called the number and then I determined it was a scam. She hung up on me when I said they weren't the IRS.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
