Received a call from 866-878-1031 on my husbands phone asking to talk with me; said they were M&T Bank

Called and left no message on 9/28/2010.

Called a 2nd time this afternoon.This time they did leave a message. Message stated that it was M&T Bank calling regarding some loan products that have available for me.

They said MT bank. This is scam.

Receive calls from this # several times a week. Usually they do not leave message. Today they left message and said it was M & T Bank calling to let me know about their loan products.

Received a call from this number at 12:50 pm on 2/7/2012. Comes up unavailable on caller id. Left message. IT was M & T Bank regarding loan products. Don't need any loans. Please stop calling.

Got a call today at 1:31pm. Didn't answer; no message left. If it was a solicitation, they'd get much further if they'd provide some kind of caller identification. I DO NOT ACCEPT ANY CALLS FROM TOLL-FREE OR OUT-OF-AREA NUMBERS WITHOUT ID. 9 out of 10 are scams.

Left a message that they were M&T Bank with loan offers. I called them back to tell them not to call again and was tranferred to customer service. "John" requested my name, address, phone number and social security number in order to opt out of the telemarketing! I DON'T THINK SO! I'm going to file a complaint.

I too have received calls from this number and today they left a message to call about loans. I too do not need any loans, thank you very much, but how scary that "What Pains" got through to someone asking for all that info. You KNOW that's not a good thing. I recently had a charge card number used in fraud and notified everyone including my bank, which is M&T. How scary that someone can know what bank you use! (Presume others above are also M&T customers?) Thankful for caller ID yet once again, as I screen all calls.
