I keep getting phone calls from this company all hours of the day, several times a day. I called and person answering phone said the company name was University Advisors. They are a college referral company.

Rebecca,It most certainly can be a telemarketer regardless of whether you're on the do not call list or not. There are new telemarketers out there all the time and the DNC list only goes out quarterly, so if they're new and don't yet have the list they'll call. Also, telemarketers who are already in existence and have been reported to DNC often change their phone numbers so they can continue to call. Everyone who receives unwanted calls should go to the National Do Not Call website and register a complaint there. These forums are great because most times someone who posts here actually has discovered the name of the company that's calling, but the best way for everyone to stop the calls is to file a complaint on the NDNC site, which generally stops the calls very quickly.

This number just started calling me today. They called at 9am and 3pm. Just called back and it's a recruiting department for an online university trying to get you to sign up for classes with them. I just called and spoke with a live rep (very friendly) and she took my name off the list but did say it takes about 72 hours before it goes into effect. No problems.

someone called me from this number today. I live in New Jersey and they are located in California. Very wierd...

This # has called me multiple times in several days. When I pick up....no one replies. No VM left. They have even called me in the middle of the night! Not cool. Someone mentioned a college...I had been applying for colleges so maybe it's some 3rd party calling me. Either way...I'm about to turn them in.

They've called me 6 times in the past 3 days and I have no clue who they are! It can't be a telemarketer because I registered my phone on the "Do Not Call" list

I keep getting calls from 213-725-5387, they confirm my name and phone number and hang up on me. I called back twice and was hung up on both times. I called again, and a young man answered and said it was an advisory service. When I asked what kind of advisory service, he did not reply. When I asked him to take my name and number off the list, hw said he would. I asked him to tell me my name and number and he could not verify it. Is this some type of scam.....internet states it is a Los Angeles landline number.

Just got a call from this number she asked for my Daughter, I asked her what she wants, and it was some College, I told her that my daughter was already enroll to a college and she was so rude!!! she said thanks for answering for her!!! I told her I'm her Mother!!! I hung up!!! there so many rude people calling up and disturbing people!!!
