Some people hear Bradley, others (something) Lee. I hear Raxy (and so have others on other sites). Slight Asian accent. He's also calling homes for sale. I can't even begin to imagine his scam with those.
This caller identified himself as Investigator Lou King and said that he was preparing to send a warrant for my friend's immediate arrest because of unpaid debt unless she sent him thousands of dollars immediately. This is a scam!
I'm sorry but come to find out this was not a 'Scam; and my friend did indeed owe for a PayDay loan that she defaulted on !! She made the necessary arrangements and kept herself from any court related matters....
Scam. You cannot be arrested for a debt. Debt is a civil matter, not a criminal matter.Go to ftc.gov and read the FDCPA and learn your rights.
My stepmom received a call from a man named Mr. Mark who called from this number. He told her that there was a warrant issued for my arrest. He wouldn't give her any other info. So my dad calls me from FL (b/c he's away visiting family) & tells me to call my stepmom to get the info. After she told me what was said, I called this "Mark" character back. He answered the phone saying "Investigations Unit" - then radioed to someone to "hold all his calls". He was very rude, cocky, and arrogant. He said I would be locked up by the end of the day if I didn't pay $4000 in cash. He had info regarding my accounts as well as family member's info - people I don't even associate with, but we are related. I also found out that he threatened to arrest my stepmom when he spoke to her. I was very worried and confused & didn't know what to do, b/c he wouldn't provide any info to me. After hanging up, I called my dad back & he kept saying "that sound suspicious". Once I calmed down a bit, I decided to research the number online & found this website. I then called the FBI National Press Office (whose number I found on a previous comment in this thread). The female agent confirmed that it was indeed a scam, & that around income tax season is when these fraudulent scammers try to get money from people. I was advised to call my local FBI office, who also told me to report it to the my local police district. These type of people make me sick! They deserve everything that's coming to them, b/c karma is a BI%*H!!!
