I just got the same call from the Champaing IL #. Same accents... same spiel.... they hung up on me after I questioned them over and over again. one guy yelled at me. People need to know about this!

Baltimore, MD: They called us at 11:30PM last night. Sounded like an Indian woman; she was asking for my wife by using her maiden last name.Hung up on her. Since I'd just fallen asleep, she's lucky I was unable to reach through the phone.

Got the call also, from 217-398-2755 at 1am this morning woke us up including my 14 month old, by the time i got to the phone they had hung up, i called back the number and got a message that the number was out of service or has been disconnected. I'm sure they will call back... this time I'll get the phone and God help the person on the other end. from Central Newfoundland, Canada

Repeated calls from this number. Speaking very broken English, with very loud background noise..have continually as them to discontinue, even before they give me there speech. Same complaint as above comments.

Got a call from 217-398-9755 on my cell and did not answer. No message, so I called back from my land line and it says that the number has been disconnected. I get calls like this every week with the same result.

Today I hade the same call as all of you. Today they have an notis in a newpapper warning for this.He will "help " you and then what about 7 dollars to bee paid by creditcard and your code.Then you have to find new money for your bank.

Indian guy calls from this number tonight at 10 pm. He started saying he was from some sort of computer maintenance company. I shut him up before he got out his first sentence and asked him if he knew what time it was, that it was after 10 pm and it is illegal for companies to call this late. Before I could finish telling him off, click, he hung up. I will not fall for his scam. I have an excellent computer AVP and I keep my computer scanned and cleaned. I don't need some idiot calling me to try to get into my computer.

My mother (who doesn't own a computer!) and I have been receiving calls from this number. I missed the first 2 calls and when I answered the third call a lady with an Indian accent claimed to be calling from Microsoft and said that my computer (operating on Windows) was in danger of being infected by malicious viruses and my hard disk would be wiped out!When I said that I could not access my personal computer from my office the person said "goodbye" and hung up!Obvioulsy Windows users (how many millions?) are being targeted by these fraudsters, who try to gain access to people's personal computers.

Had a call from this number. I work for the police, so whoever is doing this is getting into real trouble.
