Caller ID said "Michigan." I have relatives there, and wondered if it was a hospital. It was a robocall, "Hello, this is Diane. Do you need your carpets professionally cleaned?" I hung up and blocked it.
I get a call from "Diane" offering $49 special to clean the carpet for 2 rooms and throw in the hallway ( just because I'm so annoying!!) asking to press 1 to make the appointment. So I pressed 1, a person picks up announcing they're with Carpet Master. I ask to remove my number from their call list and they hang up! I call the number back, it instructs you to hit 9 to be removed from their call list. A recorded message says it takes 96 hours for it to take effect. This has happen to me three times. I still get calls. I have since blocked their number. BUT why do I have to block someone's number when I asked not to be called? And why be so rude to hang up? What happen to common phone courtesy?
These robo callers should be sent to jail! They are violating private citizens. Also, the government should fine them as well!
