robo telecall. scam from a hacked telephone number. telemarketers calling and probably from another country.they tried to obtain my credit card information so I falsified the card number and would not provide all the digits that they needed. when i called the telephone number back it contunously rings busy. we reported this to the CRTC already and we are on the do not call list but apparently the CRTC has no jurisdiction on out of country telemarketing.

The recording is a 2nd and last alert to lower your credit card interest rate. Press 1 to talk to a live operator. I pressed 1 to ask to be removed from their call list, as I was talking the fellow hung up. Very rude. Don't even bother trying to talk to these folks. Don't bother calling the number back either, in all likelihood it's a faked caller ID as it is from a call centre that is definitely not located in the tiny hamlet of Ashcroft in British Columbia. So leave Mr/Ms. M. Doyle alone. Sure you can do a reverse number lookup but you are relying on the number which in all likelihood is spoofed so you end up directing your anger at some poor innocent person who has no clue what's going on. Just ignore calls from this number.

best way to not get called back is to answer the phone and let the message play out then when the agent comes on the phone, just do not speak. the agent has an accent, and is persistent so if you want a few laughs try my approach, don't say anything, it really 'burns' them at the other end.

I know they are all scams. Banks, Microsoft, etc. none of them solicit you by phone. Hang up as soon as they start talking. Some of these recordings give you the option to press a key to have your name removed - at least you get them off your back for a while. This one unfortately did not. You can also give up any relief from the CRTC - they do not have the manpower to enforce their Do Not Call List - so registering your number is a waste of time - plus these scammers just keep changing their numbers. Don't answer - if they really want to talk to you they will leave a message.

I do not want to receive any call from these people.

Check with your provider on how to block calls from this number...or any number. Shaw is *60, then #01#, that will block the last number called.
