Same call offering a free cruise to the bahamas for answering a survey. Sounded too good to be true.
Called around 9am, hung up in my face. I called back but the call won't connect, which means that the number is set up as an outgoing-only number. Whitepages.com says the number is a landline in Chicago, IL. Will submit to FCC.gov also.
Nick Scrivani (spelling?) left me a message is calling my business. He said he's from AT&T and wants to go over my account.Right. I believe that. He's with a company that can sell AT&T products and services. He knows nothing about my account. If he did, he would already know I'm on a plan that doesn't expire for another year.
Jst got a call from this number. Did not pick up since it said unknown. I am on no call list but have noticed a lot mor unknown calls in the last 3 weeks. Calls from Houston, Miami and now Chicago. Seems pretty suspicious to me.
woman called me stating unclaimed money to be had, she wanted my address to confirm and went on to say she was confirming that info for all her clients she represents. Sounds shady. said it was overpayment I made to a local government agency. Beware.
Now the stalkers are not only calling my landline, they've now infiltrated my cell phone too?!?! This is an actionable terrrorist attack on innocent phone owners and these scammers should be hauled off to Gitmo and now with the new NDAA imposed upon all American citizens, it should be a no brainer to shut them down without a hearing. Thank you US Congress.
Automated female voice said this was not a sales call, but a survey about our nation's debt crisis. For my participation I would receive a cruise for two, though I think the human-sounding female voice mentioned something about being responsible for taxes. I did not take the survey. SCAM!!!! I only answered because I thought it might be the work number for a friend or family member in Chicago.
My 89 year old mother got this phone call. She responded and had a "nice long chat with a lovely young lady" that told her she had won a 3 day, 2 night "all expenses paid" cruise to the Bahamas. Unfortunately, she gave them her credit card number. When I found out, I contacted her credit card company and found out they had posted TWO charges on hold to her account of $972.00 on the same day. I am still going around in circles with her credit card company trying to get things straightened out. Canceled her card and had a new one issued but told that have to wait and see if this outfit tries to submit for payment in 15-16 days. Even though that credit card is no longer valid, charges would be transferred and posted to her new card!!! If I get this mess fixed, I'll let you all know what it took to make happen.
