Whoever it is that is calling is probably using a caller if spoofer so their real number does not show up. I had that happen to me a few years ago. Angry people calling me insisting they has just gotten a call from their number when I had not called them.At any rate. The person who is calling is a scammer, but the number showing up on your caller if is not the number they are calling from. Look up "caller id spoofing".
Scammers NEVER leave voice mail--sometimes, the posers will play back some pre-recorded crap that sounds like...."This is Olen, from Great Vacations......"Feds just raided a recently sold hotel building---that scammers bought and were trying to set up shop; arrested 17 slugs---and surely pissed off a couple of mafia biggies in the process.I always let my voicemail screen calls.
I received the call, too, but missed it. They left a voice mail that said, "Thank you. Your confirmation number is 524."? I don't know what they confirmed, maybe I'm the 524th person who didn't answer their call.
