Contacted this number which was on the letter from american express and was surprised that it said to leave message.Other time someone called from this number regarding account. Once called on this number spoke to someone gave all info about myself to verify that it is me but now i feel something is fishy with this number because when contacted amex other day they did not have in the file that i contacted them.
From the American Express web site: AmEx Card Replacement Unit at 1-800-992-3404 (24 hours a day - 7 days a week). From overseas, please call collect at 1-336-393-1111.
from "amex" they said and to call back this: 855-658-3663which if you google it it'll bring you back to 800notes and it's totally fishy. please don't give your info to these people over the phone. always go to the actual company website and find a phone # to call back instead.
