someone wanting to know if we provide a service and take cards. sounds like a scam

Same here too... customer claimed that he was out of town receiving treatment and wanted the work done before he arrived. I attempted to call or make an onsite visit and kept giving me the run around. He was persistent on asking me if I accept credit cards and nothing about how much the services would cost or if I were a reliable contractor.

This is a scam! I'm a merchant, and have been receiving texts from this number. They are wanting me to install a security camera system at some random home for sale. Been stringing this scammer along. The catch is, they want you to charge an obviously stolen CC, then cash deposit "as a favor" the difference. I called the CC bank, and reported the card they gave me as stolen.Beware of this scammer whom texts in poorly written English!I hate these people!!!

Just received text messages this evening identical to Rob. Camera system, credit cards, etc. Since I asked for a meeting haven't heard back.

I believe 'Bruce' has tried this with me twice since last winter. Just yesterday, received a text for a surveillance system, what CC's do I take? I asked location of residence and whom his internet provider will be? He replied to add that to the total amount. Scam.

Ray again from above, obviously this "Bruce" guy doesn't keep good records he tried again same exact text messages as before. I called him out on it and of course denied it. I tried calling from another number and he wouldn't pick up and texted me back "hello" I played along and told him we spoke the week prior and that I was ready to start the work, I want to catch this guy really bad just don't know how. He's using an app called free text app. It's like google voice, so I'm sure tracking him down would be nearly impossible especially if he's using alternate idienties and stolen credit cards to create the account.

Same here. Texted me wanting to know if I sell electronics (I do) and do I have a CC reader.I had fun with him before he got frustrated and just texted "bye"

Same story. "Bruce" wants security system installed. He is relocating to our city apparently, and wants to know what CC we accept.Seems like a scam.
