I got the call from them yesterday, telling me to call them back or I could be charged with an offence. Fakers
They called and left a voicemail. It was very mumbled/had static/interference. Only words I got out of it were something about a federal offense, and being located in Grande Prairie, AB.
They wanted me to respond to a "Federal Agent " regarding an appearance before a magistrate judge or a grand jury. When I called, the man answering said he was an Ontario policeman. He knew my name and wanted to verify my "postal code". I told him I was in the U.S. He then said he was transferring me to the senior investigator. A 2nd man came on the line and stated he was with Social security. When I asked why I had been called by Canadian police, he hung up.
I had a call from this number last week claiming to be Canada Revenue and to call them back to which I did. When they asked to validate my postal code for 'security validation' reasons, I responded with asking them to tell ME what my postal code was so I could validate they weren't a scam. The person on the other line didn't answer and simple hung up the call (as you probably could have guessed).
They claim to need a call back because I need to respond to the Federal Grand Jury
