they call every day for months now....caller block them.....

I think it's hilarious that there are sooo many of us googling that number and ending up here! I too have been called numerous times from Omaha Steaks...and asked them to remove me from their calling list, which they did until apparently today. *sigh*

Very Boisterous man from Omaha Steaks calling to make sure I had received my package ok and if I would be needing anything else. I asked to be taken off the call list and it was not a problem at all. They will also stop sending you mailings if you ask!

unsolicited telemarketing call

I WANT THEM TO STOP CALLING ME IMMEDIATELY!

We just recently bought two promotional packages from them. Their meats are good, and we have not bought any beef in a long time, due to the price. So far, since a month or so ago when we bought the things with their coupon, we have only received this one call. Caller ID says NEBRASKA, they did not leave a message.

4/13/2009 - 12:33pm. I rec'd a call from 402-593-7107. It is a collection company / law firm. Their call back number is 866-655-5826. It is typical ship trace practices that collection companies / law firms get copies of your old bills, look up companies you have done business with in the past AND call you (leaving messages) posing as those companies. Collection companies contact your phone service provider through skip tracing and get lists of phone numbers you call ILLEGALLY and start calling those numbers. If anyone admits to knowing you they call YOU posing as that person. They will call as Omaha Steak, your cell phone provider, cable company or your neighbor. I have had collection companies and law firms contact me posing a police officers (which is highly illegal), court employees and hospital personnel. My neighbors credit card company skipped traced all the neighbors in my apartment complex, found out our cell phone company, illegally got a copy of our phone bills, called our families/friends asking if they knew my neighbor and asked that he call the credit card company. My friends, family and co workers were getting made at me that they were getting harassing calls for a neighbor I don;t know. Once they have a good lead your information get's updated in EVERY collection companies computers. If you change your number the cell phone providers keep giving STRANGERS your cell phone information. I have file numerous complaints with Consumer Credit Departments at each State Baking Department. No one cares.

I just got my first call from this number, immediately I searched who it was because I do not answer calls from numbers I don't know, and saw this site. Knowing it was Omaha Steaks I logged onto my account (www.omahasteaks.com) and updated my preferences so that I do not receive any sales calls. Hopefully it will work. I'll post again if they call back but I have a feeling this will be my last post here. No bother with calling or getting upset at the company... I just updated my preferences like I should have done in the first place.
