It's OMAHA STEAKS direct marketing...they called my house every day for the last month but they are very nice. They were trying to reach out to the previous owner of my home phone number and removed it upon my request.
Cell Phones are not exempt from telemarketing if you have opted-in for a service. Omaha Steaks would not be contacting you had you not made an online purchase, catelogue purchase, etc. Somewhere on a form you must have filled out and entered your telephone number. Since you provided them with that information it is implied that you consent to them contacting you. Once you ask to have your name removed from their call list, it would constitute harassment shall they continue. Be careful whom you give your cell number to...in this day an age using the cell as the main line has made us a little sloppy when it comes to giving out our numbers
I've been receiving weekly calls on my cell phone from this company, which I haven't answered since I didn't recognize the number. (I finally looked up the number today.) While I've placed orders on line with Omaha, I certainly don't recall giving out my cell number. I also find it "curious" why they never leave a message. In any event, I'd like these calls to stop.
Yup - recently ordered from Omaha Steaks... had I know they were going to call me everyday I'd have thought twice! Won't make this mistake again!!!
