called my landline...did not answer ...no message left....called number back...voice recording stated " the survey you called for has now ended"....just another crap call
Please folks if you have either caller ID or just an answering machine. DO NOT ANSWER OR PUNCH ANY NUMBERS! I received call from this # this am. Didn't answer, no msg. left. These calls very irritating but seems we are living in a new world so have to deal with them unless we have some miracle happen. I have posted before that if you punch any buttons you could be giving the caller the ability to use your phone number to call ANYWHERE. I was told this years ago by my landline phone company. I have talking caller ID thank God therefore it tells me who is calling & I don't have to bother when it tells me who is calling. I ignore (hard to do but do). I have several seniors in my family & have told them to please just don't answer the phone let go to answering machine. If important, leave a msg. I have resorted to telling them when I call that it is me so we can talk. That is really pathetic but you do what have to do in the times we living in today.
I received, ignored & blocked this number from my cell phone ONLY YESTERDAY. TODAY - my land line rings with the same # showing only Omaha NE on the Caller ID. I give my cell phone to a VERY few people/businesses to avoid having that number sold. Not happy. Blocked on landline also. I'd love to know who they are & how they got both numbers. Landline not nonpub so not big surprise to get calls on it.
Called ID indicated the call was from Omaha, NE. Upon answering, a voice asked, "Hello? Hello? Can you hear me?" I stated, "Yes," and the voice launched into the details of my free 5-day trip with all expenses paid. I tried to interrupt and talk over the voice a few times before realizing that it was a recording. Sneaky little bast*rd dweeb. Blocking that one!
Commercial company calling me at a number on the do not call list. They did not leave a number.
They called and said I can stay 5 nights with food. I just hung up. Number was from Nebraska. It was an automated message from some guy name Tom who first asked could I hear him ok.
I got this too--and if you have a panasonic talking caller ID you might also have call blocking on the phone. I didnt'realize that until recently. Pick the number out of CID, hit 'save', hit 'block', hit 'save' again. Bingo. I get great satisfaction in hearing one ring and seeing "call blocked."
Thanks Virginia Mom. I had no idea one could block on the Panasonic phone. Followed your instructions for a couple nuisance callers, including the NE #, and hope it works.
