The person called to verify employment of someone, but I didn't recognize the person's name. The caller had an accent, and I couldn't understand them. I didn't call back to let them know they had reached a wrong number.

this is a 3rd party employment verification service. they work for Verifications Inc. that merged with another company. i am suspicious when i get calls out of area. i did a little skipping on them and it showed verifications inc for call back 2014. i am familiar with their employment verification process. Truthfully, if they really want to verify just do an SSN search and see where people have really worked. but that's just me.

They called and left a message saying they were calling to do employment verification. I have been with my current company for over three years, and I have not applied for anything at all which would require anybody to call me to verify my employment. So I'm not sure if this is some sort of scam? When he called and said who he was calling from, he said it so fast and his accent made it impossible to tell what he was saying, but it was not verifications inc.

Employment verification company. Calling to verify the employment of someone who used to work for me. Their callback number is 888-961-4944 for anyone interested. They left me a message and a reference number to give upon calling back. Since I recognized the name of the former employee they gave in the message, I was willing to call back.

I recognize the employee that they were trying to verify but I do not trust it.They didn't even call the main telephone line at the company I work for, they called a line from the hunt group.Will not be providing them with any information for current or former employees.
