It's a political thing. Somewhere, you answered "yes" to having them call to connect you with your state or federal representatives.
Called my landline several times within a few days. Caller ID says "Public Interest". I don't answer and there are no messages. Blocked it.
Calls several times s week, leaves no message. It’s very annoying and invasive. I blocked the number, but I’m sure the robo caller will use another number. Our government agencies should prosecute and fine the individuals behind this.
Called landline. CID Public Interest. Answering machine picked up, caller hung up. We NEVER answer ANY unsolicitated call. No message, call is not important. They are rude, unprofessional, annoying and most likely a SCAM. Any legitimate caller will leave a message with contact information and reason for call.
CID says: PUBLIC INTEREST. Rang once & stopped. Now permanently blocked by phone service provider.

Someone using this number called, when I answered there seemed to be there cut I said "hello" twice and no one said a thing. I hung up. If it was a collector they would not only answer but keep you on the line for as long as it took.

Yes. The caller claimed to represent Document Delivery Services and threatened to serve me with papers from a fifteen year old debt. A check with my local County Clerk’s Office revealed no evidence of lawsuit filed.
