I also received a phone call from the number that went to my voicemail. When I checked my voicemail, it said to call 911 if I had an emergency, whereas I have never called 4163437050 or 911 before.

I called 911, and then had dialled 311 and was waiting when this number phoned. I answered, but said nothing. They said nothing. I hung up. They called back and I could hear breathing, and perhaps walking. I've blocked the number.

To all those saying it's because the BlackBerry calls automatically, it doesn't seem to be so... straight from the BlackBerry handbook: "You can only make emergency calls by typing official emergency access numbers (for example, 911 in North America or 112 in countries that are part of the European Union)."I tend to get these calls early in the morning when I've been sleeping and my phone isn't being used.Also, why do I see the exact same post saying "Hope this helps folks" (B.Rad) at the end on multiple websites and posts too? I don't trust those posts.

I receive a call from this number and the man told me someone has called to 911. I have a daughter so initially I thought she dial. But reviewing my phone she or I never did it.I have a Blackberry too, so:1 It is a sort or error from Blackberry,2 It is a scam 3 I`m going crazy

I just got a call to my house phone line from this number, so don't give me any bull about it being butt dials! My wife and I were still in bed, unless our golden retriever figured out how to call 911, something's up here.

I got a call from this number twice today. Same rush message "This is toronto Police, we received a call from you, is everything okay".......Later I checked the call log and 911 was not on my outgoing calls either time. I called the number several times, call does not go through...

My phone does not show any 911 call logs but they are not recorded. I have researched it and this is indeed a police line. This number originated from Toronto. If you dailled it, its probably a butt call

Def TO police. I called in and the lady said her records show I dialed 911. Was a pocket-dial on my part. I called 416-808-2222 to inquire.

I received quite a number of calls from this number, of interest is that the calls are received late in the night or very early in the morning, when l call back the call cuts!

This number called me at 8:30 a.m. while I was charging my phone. Upon calling back (416) 343-7050, a automated recording answered saying "this caller is unavailable, please call back later". I called back three (3) times within the next hour, and got the same recording. My phone is not Blackberry, nor am I a crackberry ! I DID NOT CALL 911 NOR DO EITHER OF THE TWO NUMBER'S (911 NOR 416-343-7050) SHOW UP IN THE ENTIRE HISTORY OF MY CALL LOG !). If this is a genuine call back number, being used out of genuine concern of a individual's safety, wouldn't they have 1) left me a voicemail? and 2)upon calling them back, why is there no outgoing message identifying who this number belongs to? Please 1) Take responsibility and identify yourself! 2) stop wasting my time and yours! NOT TO MENTION TAXPAYERS MONEY, THERE IS FAR BETTER USE FOR IT!
