called me but left no message. annoying.

I answered, live voice identified herself as being from American Diabetes Assoc. Since they are a high cost, low benefit, charity, told them I donated to JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Fund) and her response seemed consistent with her being who she said she was. Absolutely no proof and calls keep re-appearing every 2 or 3 days

This was my second call from them. The call ID was Brodnax, VA. Got the caller once before and put him on hold after saying he was from the American Diabetes Association. I have added the number to the block list now. Sometimes that makes them quit.

Caller ID said "Home Lenders" although I've gotten a lot of other calls using various numbers from "ADA". My solution was to subscribe to an voIP Internet home phone from www.ITP4you.com for $9.99/mo + tax so it's closer to $15/mo (you need a router). In addition to a lot of other neat features, I can set up a "Black List" of phone numbers I don't want calling me. When such a number calls, my phone doesn't ring and the caller instead gets a message: "The number you have called is currently unavailable" I've had this service for some time and only recently discovered the black list capability. I was getting numerous calls a day from a variety of numbers. Once I put about 10 numbers on the black list-no such calls at all!! Much better than trying to put my phone number on the national "do not call" list.

APPARENTLY ADA SCAM HAS BEEN GOING ON FOR A LONG TIME, UPON GOOGLING IT, THIS ADA WHOEVER THEY ARE HAVE BEEN DOING THIS TO PEOPLE SINCE EARLY 2009. I HAVE NO INTENTION OF EVER ANSWERING THEIR CALLS. I AM GOING TO REPORT IT TO THE DONOT CALL FOLKS AND IF IT CONTINUES THE BBB ALSO. THIS IS 2011. AND THEY ARE STILL ANNOYING PEOPLE.

very annoyed. receive at least one call per day for the last two weeks - always different area code and phone number, but all say ADA . Have tried to answer, but they hang up after three rings. Am not in debt, do not owe anyone, have good credit rating. How can I stop these calls???????? I have been on the Do Not Call register for two-three years. Called again last week just in case previous call had expired.

These people are a real pain in the [***]. Don't wake me up anymore damnit~!

No message left, of course...

I get the same calls and I HAVE donated $ to JDRF in the past via family members afflicted with the disease. I will answer next time and tell them I don't respond to these unsolicited telemaketing calls. I will also let my sister know (she works a lot with JDRF) that my feedback would be to keep my name and phone number PRIVATE when I donate.
