Just got a call on my cell phone through Bell. It seems you have to always check to see if you recognize a number anymore with these leeches always making spam calls. My cell phone is to be used only for family and friend things + emergencies. Every time I get one of these calls I want to scream because they always seem to come at absurd times.

Received a call from this number this morning.Yeah, I "won" a cruise, all I had to do was answer a short survey. There is of course a catch somewhere. The whole idea is to get your info for a hard sell or fraud purposes.Using the "survey" technique the scammer or telemarketer can skirt the Do Not Call List (DNCL) regulations.Been getting these "free cruise" type calls from various numbers of late. It's winter, therefore the scammers use this trick at this time of year.Enough already, please. Annoying and unsoliticited telephone calls are getting out of control, and most of these are fraud related! Telephone soliticiting of any kind should be prohibited period! Then if someone calls to sell you something then they are knowingly breaking the law.
Have been getting this call, too. Just remember, complaining about it here does not help! You can file complaints at CRTC as well.
