Just got a call to my cell phone too (womans automated voice started immediately), saying I won $31XX travel dollars, press 1 to accept. I hung up and googled the number and here I am writing about it.
Got a call from that number 5 minutes ago (March 20/2010). I missed call but my phone was on silent. I'm from Vancouver
Had this bogus number call my phone 4502009898 I didnt answer it because like all other bogus numbers that have called my home over the years numbers I don't know I never answer them! and especially numbers to places or people I never personally gave my number too. I can honestly say numbers that appear are your phone that you don't know are 98% time scammers! Don't answer because that how they try and get your personal info they will say they are calling for so and so for a personal business matter and even though you have told them YOU HAVE THE WRONG NUMBER! they will play ahead game with you to scam your info out of you by saying then who is it i am speaking too thats how it starts then a couple days later they will call back asking for you trying to say some lie that you had owed some company X yrs ago and they now own that account so no you owe them and it doesn't matter that you already paid off your past accounts these people will try and still scam you into believing that there had been an error and infact you still owe money and because the error was never paid off at the time the interest has built up on the account and now you owe $$$$ instead. WHICH it is all BULLSHYT! if you call the orginial company back they will tell you no they never gave your account to anyone and that you don't owe them anything. DON'T STRESS OVER THESE CALLS JUST IGNORE THEM!
From Calgary, just got this call saying I won 3100 travel dollars...I hung up cause this eats daytime minutes...I want that minute back random phone number!!!!
