I got a call a few minutes ago. Caller said he had a 30 second survey and I would receive a cruise to the Caribbean as a thank you. (Yeah right, who gives a cruise for answering 3 questions?) Stayed on to find out what the scam was. Caller said a candidate would pay for the cruise. 3 questions regarding economy, my political affiliation, and my opinion of the job President Obama is doing. I answered the 3 questions and was told to press 1 to speak to a travel representative. After a series of clicks I was disconnected.
missed call on my cell, second time they called, no voicemail. Checked the web, they are a scam. It's from Philadelphia
I got a call from this number about an hour ago. Since I did not recognize the number, I did not answer. Lately, we've been getting more and more calls on our landline and cell phones from numbers that we do not recognize. We now DO NOT ANSWER any number we do not recognize. If it is a legitimate call, the person calling will leave a message. Of course, that never happens. So folks, STOP answering your phones when you receive these calls because by answering, you let them know you will answer all calls, and the caller passes this information to other SCAMMERS!
Got this call on my work cell, which has a "pay for the minutes you use plan". I guess i just paid for one minute by answering and listening to "blah blah blah political survey...blah blah".FYI, be careful of any instructions to "press #". It could be a trick to find out if there is a human answering on the other end (computers, fax machines can't understand or press 2).By pressing 2, you might be put on a list that says "real person on the other end, please include this number in all other scams".
Called my # didn't answer...I don't answer unknown numbers...if it is important someone would leave me a message...now I know why they didn't
I had a call from this number on my home landline phone. The caller ID indicated the number and SKYPE.I answered. There was no voice and got disconnected after few seconds.
