I did not answer and they did not leave a message so they don't get another chance. CID says "Humana Inc". Research suggests it's a spoofed call. Logic supports this. If it WAS a legitimate call, 1) they would not likely be calling on Sunday (not normal business hours); and 2) they would leave a message with info, which they did not. Obviously a scam. They're now blocked. Interesting how most of the reports are from many years ago and now they're starting up again.
this number has called my phone 8 times in the past week, i never answered but today I finally did and they asked for a Stephanie. I said they have the wrong number and told them to stop calling my phone. we'll see
DSL Cable IP and Landline Phone are all the same.---Part of the spooky nazi surveillance $tate where $70 Billion is never enough--fuckem
I get calls from Humana also. They are handling some stuff for the gov't. If you are signed up with the Veterans Administration, you may receive phone calls reminding you of doctors appts, etc.
Received a call from this number today (4/28/11) . I didn't answer but is anything safe anymore ?
Called tonight at 6:29 while I was eating dinner (of course!) - CID said Humana Inc and I do have Humana for my prescriptions (all of one). However, I never answer calls unless it's someone I know and that includes companies who APPEAR to be legit. It's been my experience so far that Humana snail mails me when they need something. I've now blocked the number and like others on here, I have the Panasonic phone that lets you block numbers AND you can choose not to have the phone even ring for blocked calls which I do. I never know that another scammer calls unless I'm sitting beside the phone or I check CID. If more of us just quit answering our phones if we don't recognize the number, it would cut down immensely on these junk scammer calls.
I've been receiving these calls 3 to 4 times a day for the last three weeks. Haven't picked up once, and like everyone else, when I've called back I've been told the mailbox is full and that I'll be redirected to someone else that can help me, only to have the call dropped.Called Humana as per their website and was informed none of my information was on file.Tried the 1-800 number posted above (thanks, NER) and was informed that is a local office and that I'd have to contact the national office. The phone number I was given there was 1-866-205-0000 (to confirm, search for that number on Google and you'll see it is, in fact, tied to Humana Medicare).Called *that* number and, though the woman I spoke to this time was much less pleasant (in her defense, I'm sure she handles these types if situations a lot), she informed me that my phone number was tied to a member's account erroneously. I find that a little suspicious since I've had this number for ages and never once received a called from Humana but whatever. In any case, she claimed to have removed my number from their system.I'll update if the calls persist but I think this may have done the trick.
Forgot to mention that the rings were very strange - rang, then LONGGGGGGGG pause (I thought they'd hung up!), then another ring and LONGGGGGGGG pause. Did that 4 times, and when I say long pause, I mean LONG pause!! Very strange which also made me think perhaps the call was actually coming from another country or something.
I have had it with this number, they have called me six times today and it is only 11:52 Am, they start at 8:00. I do not feel Humana is so desperate they need to do this to people. My husband is very ill and these calls are very irritating. He tried to call back and someone was on the line but wouldn't speak when he ask who was calling. It's awful to be elderly and have to put up with this harassment. Thanks
