I'm on probation, and I've received two calls from this number in the past 1.5 months. it is really starting to freak me out because I see no reason why anyone should be calling me.. im going to ask my PO what is up on monday, but goodness they should at least leave a message if they are going to be calling peoples phones.
Got two calls from this number. Looked it up after first one, tried to call back, then they called second time. Answered to the usual fax beeps - suspect fax telemarketer spoofed travis county's phone.
This number is the main number for the Travis County court system. I had a jury duty summons and got a call from this number and it was a real person who left a message and it was about my jury duty being "done" because the case had been resolved. They were calling to tell me I did NOT have to show up and that my "duty" was considered fulfilled. Anyone who calls from within that phone system will always appear as coming from the MAIN number. We do this where I work as well- it protects individuals within the organization from getting their direct line phone number exposed.
i just received the call from this number. i was on the other line. they did not leave a message on my voice mail. i attempted to call it back but to no avail....no answer. guess i will have to wait and see.
This is legitimate. If you receive a traffic violation and forgot or neglected to pay it, they are being courteous enough to call you and allow you to pay over the phone before they come and pick you up and embarrass you. PAY YOUR TICKETS!
I got a call from this number but Travis county or not why would they call me at midnight and twice for that matter??
They called me an hour ago about my case. An assault against my fiance that happened about a year ago. They wanted to know what I want to see happen with the case, which is very important I'm my opinion. So if you ave anything going on in the court system.. Like a witness or a victim, I suggest you pick up when you get a call from this number. Once you miss the call, you can't call back. It's a one way line. I guess for protection or something. Call 512-844-4476 and it will go through.
For me, it was Travis county calling to verify that i was a friend of someone who put me down as a reference for probation....thats it..
