They called me twice this morning and i guess there from Iowa. Well they woke me up. I live in Arizona. So, I tried calling them back, no contact. The number was 515 364 6750.
ya this number keeps calling me but it never leaves a massage and because i dont know the number i never answer but it gets old to keep getting this call over and over.
i have been receiving calls from this number as well. i have to agree with numerous others in that this is originating from filling out applications and answering questions trying to qualify for "free" items. well we all know that is a come on and just a way to get your information for other predators. i have told this foreigner several times now to stop calling, first he acted like he didn't understand, then he asked me why and i hung up and i've received 5 more calls in the last 40 minutes. so....
The Iowa stuff is a fluke - the company that provides the VOIP phone stuff is Iowa-based (see www.freedigits.com) and free accounts get Iowa numbers. So someone in India could be calling you all from a number "in" Iowa. Just a data point. It might be worth contacting the freedigits people to see if they have an "abuse" department that would disconnect users who do this sort of thing.
YES, I OPEN A ACCOUNT IN MONSTER LAST NIGHT, AND TODAY I HAVE BEEN RECIVING OVER 20 CALL FROM THIS M.F. IS ANY WAY TO STOP THEM?
This information is partially correct.WebPoint provides a free internet phone service. It's for incoming calls. It's also utilize by battered women to maintain their privacy. Foreign companies are taking our numbers and utilizing it as their caller ID. It has nothing to do with us selling them a service nor are they making calls through us. We have been working with other states attorney general's offices to track people down.We respond to everyone that calls our office to compile information about the calls. Generally people don't call you unless they are selling something and we try to trace the money trail to get to the source of the calls.Kha Phan
This number has called close to 100 times in the past month. Costing an estamated $200 worth of calls. Anybody know anything we can do about this?
The phone network allows anyone with basic knowlege to change their caller IDs. You are barking up the wrong tree. Please see my post below.Kha
I've gotten a million calls from this number as well. About a month ago I was getting 20+ calls a day from them. When I had a chance to answer I finally did and told the guy I was not interested and to remove my name and number from their list. Today, I got another 30+ calls from them throughout the day. I just answered the phone and it was a lady with an indian accent that said she is calling from Education.com. I immediately said I was not interested and told her I've already said I wasnt interested and demanded AGAIN that she remove my name and number from their database. This is absolutely ridiculous. I feel the common thread here is Monster.com. I recently added my information as I'm in the job search. Is there a way we can voice our concerns with Monster?
This is irresponsible and your information is incorrect. Anyone can change of spoof their caller ID and these people are just victims of that. Why don't you just buy whatever it is these people are calling you about and trace where the money goes if you really want to get to the bottom of this.Kha
