Aaron from Once Driven has called several times today about helping me sell a car that I no longer own (sold it 2 weeks ago) My number is on the National Do Not Call Registry.
Someone named Erin keeps calling me asking about buying my car. I posted an ad to sell my car leaving my number as a "TEXT ONLY" contact and this individual continues to call leaving voicemails. I now have 4 in just the past 10 days!
OK, this number has reports going back over two years. How the hell is their site still up? They just left a VM for me about my motorcycle and, like everyone else, the ad says NO COMMERCIAL SOLICITATION.
They've called 3 times (Peyton). I called back and didn't get Peyton. A woman started asking me question about my truck. She wanted to know why I'm selling it. I told her that everything that anyone would want to know about my truck was on CL. She get angry and hung up. Let's see if they call back. Oh, I got suspicious because of all the scam artists who texted me. When these people call me (my cell) the call goes to my voice mail, but the phone doesn't ring nor is there record of the call in my log.
The caller was polite in his voice mail, but called at least 3 times about my auto ad on Craigslist to sell my car for me for about $200. He WAS cognizant about what make/model I was selling, and aware that the ad had been deleted (although he called back anyway to waste my time).Aaron from "Once Driven". called initially from 540-904-4838, then later from a different number 540-751-3319 , so both numbers are at issue.
Same scam, this scammer (Peyton) has called me 3 days in a row, as have some of his associates, Give them $200 and they have buyers for your vehicle they don't even know what kind of vehicle I have. Shut them down. I reported them to FTC for violating the do not call list, but until the FTC does something they will continue. Funny though, My wife heard the Voicemail and got sooooo excited, "they have a buyer for our RV" I had to break it to her that it was just a scam, Soooo they do sucker some poor people into giving them money.
posted used car on craigslist with comment "do NOT contact me with unsolicited services or offers". they contacted to try to offer to sell my car. they continue to call me daily although I have told them repeatedly to stop. employee is named Aaron.
