called at 6:00pm on 06/01/10, dead air caller id unknown?!?!?

didn't answer because unknown name. Once answering machine picked up they/IT hung up!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

called on 1/5/10, did not leave a message- then this number again called on 1/6/10, this time i answered but said nothing and listened and after a few seconds a womans voice said hello, then a few more seconds more and the phone went dead, she hung up.

i did a little research on this number and 555 is suppose to be used only for directory assistance, but when the call is returned, my return call won't go thru. i will continue to find out more!

call from 555-987-6543 - I answered it before I looked to see if I knew them but all that was there was dead air... they have called back about 5 times today and it is very annoying.

i got a call from 5559876543 and i'm thinking it's a prank because '555' is something they use in movies and 9876543 is just decending order from 9

call came in @9:45pmEST. Asked for me, told person I didn't appreciate late call, she apologized and stated that she was finishing up her study and would be going home. I hung up on her

I got a call from them (555-987-6543) this afternoon & it was dead air. They called again at 10:15pm CST & and after several hello's from me, a women named Jennifer said she was from *** Research...I missed the name. Chewed her out because of the time, she apoligized, then I hung up.

Call at dinner time, didn't answer. Called at 9:30pm, I answered, looking for wife to do 5 minute survey (CCI or CIE something like that). Told the kid it was kid of late, and he repeatedly asked when my wife was going to be home. Told him she was working, and the little *%$#@ said, "Yeah, well I'm working too, that doesn't answer the question!". Bite lip and hung up! I advise you to do the same!

Dead air is when computer dialer realizes someone "real" has answered, and then transfers the call to a "human" telemarketer. Sometimes when you hang up before speaking to someone, that tells them someone is home, and they call right back.
