Scam Scam

This #has called 2x now. Tried to call it back & get a recording that # has been temporaly disabled. The female voice on the other end, asked for my husband by name and asked if he was intrested in a magazine subscription, I said no, she then said that he sent in the renewal notice, I told her did not . She said that he forgot to send in the payment. I told her that she would have to send an invoice. She hung up on me. The second time she said most matter affect that he did send in the renewal, I said I would take a message, she didnt like that and told me she would call back to speak with him. I called the magazine to see if infact that this call originated from them and they told me NO. We dont call our subscribers to get renewal or payment. They took the # and are having their investigator look into it. I am hoping that they do call back and try to talk to him. They will get the same response.

This number has called us 4 times now. We told them the subscription was paid for and we have the cancelled check. They continue to call. Today they called and I told the caller I was recording the call and was going to send the voice recording to the magazine - he told me he was also recording the conversation, so why was I also recording it? What a moron. then I asked him to start the reason for his call. He refused and finally said that he was in a mental institution and hung up. I believe he did not reply as to his purpose because he knew I was recording him and did not want to confess to a crime. I am sending the recording to the magazine. Shutterbug.

Theybdidncall back again yesterday, this time the guy on the other end was flustered when I informed him that I spokewith the magazine's rep, and told him there was no renewal and not getting payment. He oh really. Also the magazine is looking into the calls . He hung up!
