I have been receiving calls from this number every 2- 3 day for the past 3 or 4 weeks now. It rings once then hangs up. I called the number back 30 Dec 2014. The number went to a call center, outside the USA (odd this being identified as a landline in Portsmouth, NH, USA). The other end was a collection center looking for a person who had previously had my phone number. I was told by the representative of the collection agency "Your number will be removed from our data base and you will no longer receive any more calls from us."My name, phone number, and time I have had this number was the only information given.
Keep getting calls from this number, They never leave a message or let phone ring more than twice.
ATTENTION TO ALL OF MY FACEBOOK FRIENDS: If you should see this phone number on your phone, and your phone rings ONCE. DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER BACK, BECAUSE THAT'S WHAT THE SCAMMERS WANT YOU TO DO, IS TO RETURN THEIR PHONE CALL.Then you'll end up being charged well over $40.00 for an explicit chat line that you've never heard of.How do I know about this number? Well it came up on my phone, and my phone rang once. Which was clearly a MISTAKE IN JUDGMENT on these SCAMMER'S part, because if you call me, and let my phone ring once. I WILL NOT BE CALLING YOUR [***] BACK! Should you call me, and you don't leave me a message. I will NOT be calling you back either! Not sure who it is, but my cell always rings twice, and who ever it is never leaves a message.I called the number, a woman answered introducing herself, and asked for the number I was calling from. Buy she did not mention the company name.I just hung up
