They first said it was Telus for months, now everytime they call it's 8-830 at night and as soon as I say hello, call ends!! I only answer with the hope that someone is actually there so I can call them as many vulgar names as I can before they hang up. Borderline harrassment!

I am dealing with them now. They also send emails. CBV is the last group to hold my file, but apparently it went from one Rogers accounts to two somehow. When I started getting calls from collections, it was the 3rd or fourth company.. At the start the debt was a little over $900. Now it's over $5000.. It's crazy, been over the 7 years since I had that phone or phones now.. Was just about to hit the 7 year mark when they tracked me down... Also, if you give you number to a gov agency like osap. Expect them to find you sooner.. Happened twice now and I changed my number in between.

Check the Statute of Limitations in your province. In Ontario, it's two years and then the debt is not collectable. They try to collect old debts that are no longer recoverable.

save up all the junk mail you get and start stuffing the Telus return envelopes with them. Drop them in the mail with no return address on the outside and no postage (or postage pre paid from Telus). Telus will then be on the hook for having their own envelopes returned to them. They might get the message but don't count on it. It's just a fun way to screw with them and to get rid of your old junk mail.

That is an awesome idea except you can't actually call any of the phone numbers they call you from. They're spoofed numbers that just have a recording stating the number is not in service.

if you don't owe them money sign up for the Do Not Call list. Then if they call you you tell them you're on the DNC list. If they continue to call you report every call to the CRTC and they can be fined $1500 per call. You can also try to send them a cease and desist letter by registered mail. If they keep calling you after you have proof they received the letter then YOU can sue them when they call. SOOOO much money to be made from these idiots!!!

I spoke to the police department and the told me ,they are scam.

this happens to us too, they can call all they want, it's not gonna do anything. haha
