Fake caller trying to get me to call back an 800 number about a problem with Amex

A few coming per day.

i I have asked ,sarah to stop calling. she is three and four times a day.please help??

This works well for me but won't work for everyone. About two months ago our home phone stopped working and I waited a few weeks before calling for repair service. The only calls to the home line are from my wife's work, telemarketers and my mother. This was a very enjoyable quiet, Time Warner fixed the phone line and within three hours we had five telemarked calls. I unplugged the line from the caller id to the phone. I can still see when there is a call at MY leisure. Our home has never been more peaceful. We have been conditioned to drop whatever we're doing and answer a ringing phone, during my career in law enforcement I literally fielded thousands of calls and grew to hate the ringing phone. We do what we have to at work, home is my time and I spend it as I see fit. I NEVER answer a call from Unknown Caller, Out of Area or a number that I don't know. Calls from numbers that never speak and hangup on you are likely robo-calls to see if your phone number is one that answers the ringing phone, they then sell your number to other companies who will call you. These companies are getting trickier on how they contact you, one call came up as my name and number. I was confused and answered, it was an offer to side my house. They are also using local numbers in hoping to get you to answer the phone. That was a longer than intended response, I hope this helps you and everyone get some peace and quiet.

If you do a little research, this company is Remex, Inc., a collection agency. It is an automated call that refers you to another number: 800-772-9284. I don't owe anyone any money so I have blocked both numbers, period. Now let's see them call me!
