Said they were Target and asked for my banking info and said I couldn't make the payment online, which is untrue.
keep getting calls everyday -answered once and no response.. annoying, just ignoring the call from now on.
Have missed calls from this #, but messages are never left. I have friends in the Twin Cities and surrounding area, but this # doesn't belong to any of them. If the matter is so unimportant to warrant a message, then I'll regard the # as one belonging to a scammer or telemarketer by blocking it.
A soft spoken lady. She said she was from Target which I do have a card with them. She gave me a number of what I owe and a number that I can bring it up to date. She kept pressuring me as to why I didn't make a payment and then asked if I wanted to make a payment or get on a payment plan. I just got a new bank card and haven't hooked it up to my auto-pay accounts so I thought it may actually be true. Until she kept asking about my information. I said three times I can't make it right this second and she just hung up. Which is odd. If she was working for Target then she should have ended the call in a professional manner.
Called to collect a debt for Target Redcard. May or may not be legitimate, as someone else has already said, if you want to be on the safe side, call a number that you know is legitimate. Also, I know that Target representatives have a 6 digit identification code, so if you ask the person for their 6 digit code, and they have no idea what you are talking about, that's a pretty good hint that they do not work with or for Target.
Many calls, claimed to be about Target bill. Discovered they are NOT Target. Tip: safely pay your Target bill in person at Customer Service booth inside any Target store. Don't be scammed! Never give info or pay money to anyone who calls you -they may not really be the company they say they are!
