I keep getting calls from this number but when i try to call them back my phone tells me the call can not be completed as dialed?????

I got 2 calls from this number yesterday. They were asking for my daughter, and not pronouncing her name correctly so I am thinking it is a scam. He also said from a Mr. Holloway from the office of Attorney Daniel Slain with a case number. I am going to report this number to the police. About 6 months ago my daughter was being harassed by a very relentless and mean group of men via phone. They scared her so badly she gave them money. We reported them, changed her number and even had her credit completely shut down for some time. Not sure how they are getting her info. But this is absolutely unacceptable. I encourage any of you to call the police when this happens or there will be many victims that should not have to deal with this.

Has anyone ever got served by this company?

This number is for the Law Office of Daniel Slane - based out of Columbus, Oh. If you want to get to the bottom of the reasoning of their call(s), call the director of operations Steve Slyh - his personal cell phone is 614-800-5122. I'm sure he will try to tell you he or his group of employees will pursue you in court, but he unfortunately has no grounds. They're calling about payday loans - I would recommend you have them get you the proof you actually owe the bill!!! Can almost guarantee they will not be able to supply you with anything.

Anyone using the tactics that are described are not legitimate. Companies with good reputations do not have collectors pose as investigators or process servers or the police. Slane Law is in my city and if they are conducting business in this manner they will not be in business for much longer.I am in the debt buying industry and hate to hear of these practices.

Joe - Let's just assume that's your name - If you would like to make slander about anyone from the typical New York area, I highly suggest you do some research before dropping specific names. I personally know Darryl - and this office was a joke from the start. Steve Slyh (claimed to be the director of operations) threw his name out there for people to contact; hire people and make offers of employment to certain individuals, to ultimately not even open the office. So - before speaking down upon anyone who actually has a good name for some extremely reputable agencies in the Buffalo area - do some research. It's people like Steve that give honest, hard working people in the collection industry bad names!!!!!

Retain a consumer protection attorney and make them pay you. What they have said is against the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. What creditor is going to sue over $214.00, and if they are going to sue, why would a reputable creditor use this gang of thugs to do so?

Called from a new number 614-702-2088 same crap blah blah asked for my proof none given and i asked them to call my lawyer. She said it wont help and i will be served. LOL and not to call back or it will be harrasment lame stuff..Dont Pay Them!!!!!

The answer is: NO. A search of public records reveals this law office hasn't filed suit against a consumer.

I was called at my place of work and on my personal phone by someone claiming her name was Wendy. The number left on my voice mail was 614-702-2084. She claimed to have a legal case that came across her desk and wanted to call back immediately. She also said she was from the office of Daniel Slane and even gave me a case number.
