Was expecting a call from a hospital in Boston sometime soon, but the call came in just labeled "BOSTON, MA" on Caller ID; usually the calls from the hospital identify themselves as such. Because I was unsure, I let it go to ans.machine, but they disconnected at the fourth ring, just as the machine was picking up. So no USEFUL Caller ID and no message.COULD be yet another of the "Switch Your Electric Provider" PHISHING SCAM calls, of which we've gotten 97 since February 2015.I wish the LEGIT calls would SAY something!Anybody else get this call and know what its about?

Yes, this IS a call from DANA FARBER, using a 'randomly generated' default number - without IDENTIFYING themselves - when your phone system will not accept their BLOCKED/ANONYMOUS numbers they use, like our phone does. They called FIVE TIMES in THREE days, without EVER leaving a message; just like the Spammers' MO! SO STUPID; we've TOLD them its is OK to call our home, LEAVE MESSAGES and ID THEMSELVES, but they insist on being clandestine, nonetheless. (Hippa laws do not apply when you've GIVEN them PERMISSION (verbally and IN WRITING) to call you and leave info on your home phone #.)This number will not accept INCOMING calls. So, i spent HALF a morning trying to figure out which one of FIVE different docs/departments had called me. RIDICULOUS. And when you ask them to do things differently, they insist they cannot. So much for a 'cutting edge' institution.

Got a call from this number & it had Massachusetts with the number. Did not care to answer it because I do not know anyone that lives there. The left a message so went to voicemail to see what they said. Susan Harper wants to set up transportation with me. That seems odd since I live in Florida. But, I can call her back on 617-632-3303. If this is on the up & up, they should be more careful on the numbers they're calling. Sounds like someone will not get their transportation set up.

Got another call from 617-933-1250 at this morning. I was still asleep! They leave a message to call 617-582-8638. I call that number & tell Kyle, I AM NOT SHERRY! "Oh, have we called you before? YES, several times. So disgusted with this crap. When can we start suing? I know which number I would use first!!!

I highly suspect it is automated and not customizable. Annoying, sure. But I highly doubt they are claiming that their phone services are cutting edge.

Probably Dana Farber calling to tell me something while I'm sitting in one of their waiting rooms.
