Didn't answer, and they didn't leave a message. Less than an hour later received another mystery caller, different area code, but likely connected.

I don't know who actually called you, but:That particular scam has been around since "All in the Family" was on TV - the real program, not the reruns.Archie signed up for having his house fitted with aluminum siding, "free", to be a model for the neighborhood. He didn't seem to think it was important that he already had a brick house.This new scam is probably simpler. If you confirm that you don't have an alarm system, someone takes down your address, and information about when you will not be at home, and burglarizes the house.OR they tell you that you have to make a down payment, which they will return after they do the installation, and they will be happy to take down your bank account number or credit card.If you have already given them this information, call the bank and get credit card and check account numbers changed, immediately.
Didn't leave message. When calling number back message claimed to be a survey that was now closed. Blocked the number.
Scam caller that was active in the spring with this number. The number is supposed to be from Arlington Heights but is in Bensenville. Possible burglars trying to find out when you are home.
