Caller with heavy Indian accent claimed to be from Microsoft, and told me that my computer had downloaded a virus. Asked me to display event viewer. I suspected this was a scam, but played along, since I am a senior IT person and was not going to allow anything malicious. When I told him of my qualifications, he claimed to not be able to hear me.
A guy with a different type of accent asked me if I was Nikki and then my last name. Woke me up from laying down . I said yes but I just woke up so it didn't sounded myself. they hung up and I called back the number and it didn't ring. On the other ended said you have reached ........ And it was my cell phone company's name. Has anyone had a phone call from this number?? It sounded like he was over seas.
Called before 9:00 am, so much background noise could hardly understand him. It was obviously from India. Said something about my computer. I told him it was a scam call, hung up, and blocked the number on my cell phone.
Said I was randomly selected for 9,000 donation cause of paying bills and other things and then I hung up
I got a call but I did not recognize the number so I did not answered it and i know they are scams
