Called my phone twice today. First time they just hung up, second time a robotic message was left saying that it was Visa security and that an odd charge was put on our card. Quick check with the real security there were no problems
Yes I am sure this is a scam They call to say your visa or master card has had an attempt to be used at 5 Am & they leave a message with a number to call Never call them back If ou feel it could be a real attempt call your bank to verify
They call very early in the morning and throughout the day. The message is the same -- unusual charges to my Visa card (which I don't possess) and asking me to "press 1 to speak to a security agent." I suggest that if you are receiving this call, block it because they will be relentless. Also, a heads up to telephone manufacturers -- please allow the ability to block more and more calls on the telephones we purchase because this constant, incessant, relentless type of fraud is only on the increase.
I CONSTANTLY GETTING CALLS FROM THIS NUMBER THROUGHOUT THE DAY. CALLS EARLY MORNING. I IGNORE THESE CALLS , THEY LIE ABOUT CREDIT CARD CHARGES AND WARNING I SHOULD CALL TO AVOID THE CHARGES IMMEDIATELY....THEY ARE DAM SCAMMERS.

Multiple calls - all early morning. I assume they want you to not be thinking clearly. Always the same message about a Visa charge at 5AM. Will try to report this to someone - but who?
Call at 10.07 Am today. Didn't answer but voice mail message left. Charge to my VISA at 5 AM. Press 1 to speak to Visa Security agent. SCAM!
Received an annoying phone call from this number at 08:20 this morning, claiming the usual non-sense about transaction on credit card. Will they ever give up?
received a call at 7am this morning and again at 8:30... the call was to verify a purchase on my visa credit card and they wanted my credit card number. I have told them I do not have a visa then they asked for my interac visa number... Again I told them I did not have such a card... they hung up twice...

they're trying to get personal and fin info under the pretense of finalizing a loan. they leave (866) 398-2896 as a callback number but actual caller id is spoofed to a different number each time.
