Got a call from this number 3 times this morning - they left a message they were from VISA headquarters, should leave my card number. Don't think so. Just another scam. Be careful.
Same thing. Called, left message that said" Visa has noticed unusual activity today morning".. Okay then.. Reported the number to CRTC.
I just got this call at 8am sharp this morning, they left a message. Thank you for your comments, obviously this is a scam!!
Had a legitimate "fraud" issue with my credit card just a few days ago so when I listened to this voicemail early this morning, my spidey senses screamed SCAM - called my bank right away ***using the phone number on my card*** and no surprise, there was no issue or concerns on my account (since my "new" account hasn't even been activated yet). Glad to see that people are getting wise to these scammer tactics!!!!
This is an annoying scammer that claims to be VISA and that they have notice an unusual charge. It is a phishing attempt to obtain your precious personal information such as your credit card number, social insurance number, etc, -- just about anything they can put their hands on. Do not fall for that trap! Never forget that your most precious PII (personal identifiable information) is your SIN (social insurance number) and that number is the only number you will ever get from your government. Your government will not issue a new number even if you are a victim of theft. So, folks, please never ever share your SIN with whomever other than with your government officials!! Enough ranting ...
Called and woke me at 6am saying they were calling from "visa" and press one to be connected to someone and give them my visa info. No, I don't think so.
called said they are visa Canada. Saying there was an unusual charge at 5:30 am Tues morning. My wife hung up. I called the number back and a strong accented male answered "Visa Security how may I help you" Then before I could talk some Indian type music came on as if I was on hold. I waited about 45 seconds through the music then hung up. I called Visa using the number on back of my card, finally got an agent and checked my accounts and no transactions happened. Also traced the number and no Visa locally or abroad matched that number.
It's a recorded message stating to lower your interest rate this is your final warning.
