these peoplehave been calling me constantly and if i ever call back the number is disconnected.

The announcement sounded like a recorded in a Spanish woman voice. Apparently, I do not want such a call.

(701) 934-8989Bismarck, NDGot a call just now. Open air then Spanish recording then open air but I could hear someone rustling papers at the end. They did not respond to my repeated "hello". I answered b/c I was expecting a fed ex package to arrive today. Anyone else expecting a delivery? I'm wondering If that's the common link.

This is a machine calling with a message in spanish that says " The cash register has been opened and you are the winner of $1,000 press one to collect your money" Each time I hang up and it calls about once per week. I am afraid that if someone does press the number one they may be charged some $$$$$$$$ as a result of it.When you call the number back its disconnected???? My phone is registered with the do not call list.

Got a call from 701.934.8989 with some audio distortion in the background and a prerecording with some messy spanish about money.

Got the call yesterday. I usually don't pick up calls from unknown numbers, but this one I did and got the spanish quacking lady. Must be 4 months since the last one. I wish I was smart enough to ferret out who they are, find their web site or on line ID and send them a killer virus. Pesky [***]!

I believe they are probably using a service like skype or the old aol phone numbers, where they can pick any number in any area they want, then they use this to scam people. It is likely a VOIP no. They usually have voicemail for free. Or it could be a disposable cell phone. Most cell phones are nationwide unlimited local & long distance just like VOIP. It wouldn't cost them much & they could do these calls to their heart's content until they're caught doing something illegal. There are probably more numbers in places like North Dakota, chances are they don't care where they pick the number, they just want something to hide behind. I know b/c when my mom moved in with us, we tried to get a skype number from where she lived before so people could call her at the price of a local call, so we had a number from like 500 miles away from where we lived. I know also if you pick up the cell phone to answer a no. you don't recognize, they can "clone" your cell no. & use it instead, & you get stuck with the bill for calls you never made. If you don't recognize the number, call back on a voip or land line, not your cell, to protect your number.THIS IS WHAT WE GET FOR IDIOTS VOTING TO PUBLISH CELL PHONE NUMBERS. Even the Do Not Call list doesn't stop them, it seems. I did list my number at donotcall website, but they still call. I am going to see if I can report it there. It's supposed to be good for 5 years, I had the first call like this just a few months after I put my cell phones on the do not call list.They didn't leave a VM for me, & I am not about to call back.
