To everyone saying this is a scam its not this is the police...The only scam is them trying to set you up, to find out where you are. They called my cousin phone, and she knows what for she just wanted to know if it really was the police. I found out for her, and it really is. She found out minutes later by family the police were looking for her. Yes she had a cell phone....................

I have gotten a total of 5 calls from this number on my cell. Three times on Monday. 10 mins apart. And twice today so far. Also ten mins apart. I haven't been able to answer the calls because I'm either in class or working. Everytime I call back no one picks up nor does a answering machine come on. If it was the police I'm sure someone would answer or atleast a answering machine would pick up.

How do you know it is a scam? please share your info.

This is a number of a police division. When they called me, it was in regards to my child custody case and interference of child custody.

This number is not a scam. I had a theft at my home last week and this was the investigator for HPD. For those of you saying they are asking personal info., lol you are the one they are looking for, for someone elses case.

I have received several calls from this number today asking questions about our cars and wanting a lot of quotes. Not sure what is going on. Said he would come in to look in a couple days.

This is legit. I called 911 a week ago, and this was a follow-up to the child custody interference i reported. The officer was so helpful. It put me at ease about our position with custody.

Got a call from this number and I sent it to VM. Officer sex offender dept. left me a message stating that Micheal So&So had an appt. he needed to change and to call him back at a different number. Called the other number and got the offender office (waiting on a call back to let them know that I'm not their guy) so I'd say it's legit. But yeah, you call that 6662 no. back and it won't answer.

This number is the switchboard number for the HPD SE Police station. You can not call the number back, it will just ring and ring. Every phone line from that station, (over 100) will show this number on the ID when someone calls from this location. Its most likely an officer or civilian employee following up on a police report that your are a complainant, witness, or suspect in. Investigators from Robbery, Burglary and Theft, Investigative first responders, Juvenile, Family Violence, Child Physical Abuse Unit, Child Sexual Abuse unit, Sex Offender registration and compliance could be contacting you. It could also be the courts calling you for some reason. But its no scam.

Someone called from this number. No message. Seems to me if they wanted something from me they would ask for a return call and leave a good number or at least a name.There is also a scam going around that they tell you that you have fines and if you do not pay you will be arrested.
